The unkept promises of being a family,
Caught up in marital rival,
So lost in their wrangles!
The pain, of her dear parents,
Their absence…
The devastation it left!!
Poor children… Others glared.
The highs and lows of life,
Demises, cruelty, agony, hardship,
Suffering all entangled!
How can I keep Strong?
She asked, “why me?”, “why us?”
With hope, she leaped,
Prayer as her only sword!
Each day she hoped, some days;Broken!
Other days dark.
Until one day! She…
Conquered fears, dried tears,
Striding with her chin so high,
She told herself…
The real heroine
Lies inside me!
The real heroine is me!!
No gains without pain,
If it’s still tough, It’s just the beginning!
No matter where the journey started,
I told myself,
I’m brave and resilient…
Now am ready to spread change!
I’m strong!
Oh yes, I am so strong.
